Human Resources Director

The Human Resource Director reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function for an organization. In partnership with the C-Suite, this role ensures the both the tactical and strategic human capital needs of the organization are being met, both currently and in anticipation of organizational growth.

Essential Functions

  • Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures and practices on human capital matters.
  • Communicates changes in the organization’s HR policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
  • Overseas the organization’s annual review process and coaches and supports managers and employees through performance management issues.
  • Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization’s wage and salary program.
  • Supports talent acquisition functions via subject matter advice on recruiting options and strategies.
  • Develops and ensures new hires receive a consistent and professional onboarding experience to position him/her for success in the organization.
  • Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations and provides recommendations for improvement to management and Sr. Leadership.
  • Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the COO, on staff issues.
  • Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities relative to their staff.
  • Recommends, evaluates and finds/develops solutions to ensure strong staff development and training options are available for employees.
  • Ensures organization has an effective human resource information system that meets the organization’s personnel information needs and provides HR reports as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization’s compliance.
  • Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
  • Supervises the staff of the human resource department, if applicable.
  • Participates on committees and special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or equivalent years of experience.
  • 7+ years generalist human resources experience in a mid-size or large organization. Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including recruiting (passive candidate and volume positions), compensation and benefits, HRIS management and HR analytics, employee relations, training and development, performance management, and employment laws and regulations.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and build trust with employees, peers and management.
  • Self-starter, flexible, able to multi-task, prioritize and handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people (verbal and written), establish a strong rapport and diffuse and resolve conflict through influencing and diplomatic persuasion.
  • Self-assured with a high level of personal drive & motivation to help Premier and it’s employees achieve both business and individual goals.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, exhibit a professional demeanor and mature, executive presence at all times, including under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office:  Word, Excel and Power Point required.
  • HR certification a plus (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP etc).

Working Conditions:

Office environment with moderate noise level; able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Ability to travel to other offices as needed.

Physical Therapy Clinic Manager

Premier Orthopaedics the largest provider of outpatient physical therapy located throughout Delaware, Chester and Montgomery Counties is looking for a Full-time Clinic Manager.  We provide an outstanding environment for both patients and staff.  The patient population is a highly motivated group whose injuries are predominately sports medicine and post-surgical cases.

Key responsibilities (including but not limited to)

  • Efficient and profitable management of rehabilitation services for your clinic.
  • Supervises Premier personnel and performs the following duties: the management of day-to-day operations, such as employee supervision, monitoring weekly statistical information, and administration of the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Position reports to the Regional Manager.

Successful candidate must have:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory role
  • Minimum of 4 years experience as a staff PT
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Make independent decisions and problem solve.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing.
  • The ability to effectively manage/motivate staff.
  • Flexibility with schedule to accommodate clinic needs, marketing and management meetings.
