Surgical Orthopedic Associates has been at the heart of Delaware County for more than 20 years. This division, located at the corner of Sproul Road and Paxon Hollow Road in Broomall, PA, was founded by Dr. Curt Miller. Dr. Miller was later joined by Dr. Dean Trevlyn , and now the practice has grown to include 6 orthopaedic surgeons.
Dr. Mark Brigham joined after medical school and orthopaedic residency at Temple University. Dr. Richard Levenberg , having finished a spine surgery fellowship, then joined. Dr. Paul Horenstein , who specializes in joint replacements and foot and ankle surgery, then joined the practice. The newest member of the group, Dr. Anne Colton, completed her sports medicine fellowship at Rush University in Chicago. The practice is well-situated along Sproul Road and shares the first floor of the building with Premier Physical Therapy. This affords the ability of the doctors who perform surgery to collaborate with the physical therapists who are invaluable in a patient's recovery.
Surgical Orthopedic Associates has x-ray on site with several talented technicians that expedite this process. Many employees have been at SOA since its beginning and help to provide consistent quality patient care.
Every Monday and Thursday morning, Surgical Orthopedic Associates has an Athletes' Clinic, where patients are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis. No appointment is needed, and the doors open at 7am. Patients are seen from 7:30 – 8:30 AM and 2 surgeons, several athletic trainers, and an x-ray technician are all available to enhance patient care.
