Local Kid-Friendly Activities in Delco and Chester Counties

Spring fever manifests in a major way for kids. They need to get out there and blow off some steam. We have some great ideas for fun activities, keeping them busy and moving in the Delaware and Chester county area.

  • Check out the Dinosaur Revolution at the Delaware Museum of Natural History in Wilmington, DE, now through May 29th. Learn why dino’s are one of the most successful survivors in earth’s history! Have a blast and learn a ton about dino’s this spring.

  • Longwood Gardens in Kennet Square, PA, is celebrating the Orchid Extravaganza until March 31st. Bring the kids and visit the largest and most show-stopping display of orchids ever with more than 4,500 gorgeous orchids!

  • Bring the whole family and enjoy creative activities on Saturdays at the Brandywine River Museum of Art, designed specifically for visitors on the autism spectrum, or with sensory processing disorders making it the only of its kind in the area.

  • Come check out the Gymnastics Open Play every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings 9:30 to 11:30 at the United Sports Center in Downingtown, PA. Parents bring their kids March 20th through June 11th to explore gymnastics in a casual, free play setting. Different implements will be set out each week for the kids to explore and find which ones they like best!

Parents must be with their child at all times. $5 drop-in fee.
