Interesting Facts

Dr. Emerel developed an early interest in foot and ankle medicine while competing in NCAA Division I Track & Field and Cross Country at Marist College. As a podiatry student and resident, he completed numerous endurance races, including the Philadelphia Marathon and Broad Street Run.

Following residency, Dr. Emerel completed advanced fellowship training in complex lower extremity trauma and ankle arthroplasty at Broadlawns Medical Center. Born in Moscow, Russia, he is fluent in Russian.
