Dr. Lutz served with the United States Marine Corps and was deployed to Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm. He served as Battalion Surgeon for the 1st Marine Division at Camp Pendleton and was awarded the Naval Commendation Medal in recognition of his distinguished military service.
