Dr. McHugh has been taking care of my troubled knee for the past 7 years. The knee was badly infected and was cleaned out as an emergency by another physician from another practice at a hospital. I selected Dr. McHugh and his practice to start to care for me going forward after that operation. He has a very common sense approach to his care of my troubled Lyme arthritis knee. He has never steered me wrong in his treatment and as a result I have been able to keep my troubled knee in the best condition as possible. My last visit to him was because I fell directly on my troubled knee and developed a large swelling under the kneecap. He xrayed my knee to confirm no break or fractures and advised what to watch for and how to keep swelling down as the bursa sack in the kneecap deflates. I have recommended him to friends and family for their orthopedic care. It is a nice and clean facility with friendly, helpful staff and this practice even has a physical therapy facility upstairs. Today I 'graduated' from follow-up visits after knee replacement surgeries (June and Sept 2023) and could not be happier! I'm doing well and am on course to resume my powerwalks in the coming weeks.
